Based on the finding of this research, the researcher concludes that the doomsday concept and connotative meaning of Surah Al-Waqiah using theory semantics, as follows: a) There are 10 data of the characteristics of the doomsday. The collected data were than analyzed and interpreted.
From the ninety six data, the researcher only took fourty four data purposively. This research is viewed as descriptive qualitative method because it analyzes the data descriptively based on theory of semantics.
It is taken from translation book entitled “Al-Qur’an Andalusia”. In addition, the data of this study were taken from English Translation of surah Al-Waqi’ah. This research is used the theory from Chaer (1994) to analyze the doomsday concept and used the theory from Saeed to analyze the connotative meaning. The purposes of this research are to find out the concept of the doomsday and connotative meaning of English Translation of Surah Al-Waqiah in Al-Qur’an Andalusia. The researcher sees several “concepts” of the doomsday in the perspective of semantic study into several sentences contained in the some verses of Surah Al-Waqi’ah. Besides, there are several concepts regarding the description or interpretation of things. The original language of the Qur'an is Arabic, but it is now English to help all Muslims in this country understand the contents of the Holy Quran. The Holy Quran is one of the holy books of Muslims.
